Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 July 2026
Kids Quest is designed for families and built with children's privacy at its core. We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and we do not track you or your children. This policy explains what data the app uses and how.
Data stored in your own iCloud
Kids Quest stores your family's information — profiles, tasks, rewards, stars, photos and messages — using Apple's CloudKit in your own iCloud account. This data syncs privately between your family's devices. We, the developer, do not operate servers that collect or store your personal content, and we cannot read your family's data.
Information we do not collect
- We do not collect names, email addresses, or contact details of children.
- We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs that profile users.
- We do not require an account, sign-up, or login with personal information.
- We do not sell or share personal data with anyone.
Camera, microphone and photos
With your permission, the app can use the camera and microphone so children can attach a photo or voice note as proof of a completed task, and so families can send messages. This content is stored only in your family's private iCloud and is never sent to us or any third party.
Notifications
With your permission, the app sends notifications (for example, when a task is completed or approved). You can turn these off at any time in your device settings.
Purchases
Optional subscriptions and purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Purchase status is stored privately in your family's iCloud so that access works across your devices.
Children's privacy
Kids Quest is intended to be set up and managed by a parent or guardian. Settings, purchases and external links are behind a parent gate. Because all family data lives in your private iCloud and we collect no personal information, the app is designed to comply with children's privacy requirements such as COPPA and Apple's "Made for Kids" guidelines.
Data retention and deletion
Your family's data remains in your iCloud until you delete it. You can remove a member, delete your family, or reset the app at any time from within Kids Quest, which removes the associated data from iCloud.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
